Q: Can one Primary User add another Primary User profile online?
A: No. The addition has to be done through a request with a company's resolution. Please click here to obtain the "Business e-Banking Services Amendment/Termination Form".
   
Q: What is the maximum number of Primary User profiles that can be created?
A: Two.
   
Q: What is the maximum number of Secondary User profiles that can be created?
A: Unlimited.
   
Q: Can a Primary User's profile be deleted by another Primary User / Management Control Administrator online?
A: Yes, but deletion by Management Control Administrator has to be authorised by Primary User(s).
   
Q: How can Secondary User register for Business e-Banking?
A: After Secondary User is successfully added by Primary User, he/she will receive a Hang Seng Business e-Banking Registration e-mail containing "Principal Account Number" and "Your Short Name". Please download the Hang Seng Business Mobile App and follow the instructions to register with the aforementioned information.
If Secondary User requests to use Security Device, he/she needs to register with Registration Letter, SMS Authentication Code and Security Device. The Business e-Banking PIN will be sent to the Secondary User by mail while the authentication code will be sent to Secondary User's registered mobile phone number via SMS.
   
Q: Does it require authorisation for deletion of User Profiles?
A: Yes.
   
Q: How can a user know what Business e-Banking services / accounts are available to him / her?
A: All accessible services / accounts can be enquired online by Primary User(s) and, where applicable, the Management Control Administrator.
   
Q: What types of services, including default services, can be made available to the users?
A: Available services may vary from one user to another and are indicated as follows:

Q: What should be done if a Secondary User is promoted as a Primary User?
A: The profile of a Primary User must be set up by the Bank through an amendment request with a company's resolution. Please click here to obtain the "Business e-Banking Services Amendment/Termination Form". The profile of the Secondary User being promoted should be deleted online by the existing Primary User.
   
Q: What should be done if a user of Business e-Banking leaves the company?
A: To protect the best interests of the company, users leaving the company should be stopped immediately from using the Business e-Banking services.

For Secondary Users, including Management Control Administrator, the Primary User(s) may delete their profiles by using 'User Profile' under Management Control.
For Primary User(s), the company should call our Customer Service Representatives on (852) 2198 8000 immediately for suspension and replacement of their profiles.
   
Q: What is the relationship between User Daily Limit and Portfolio Daily Limit?
A: User Daily Limit is the limit up to which a user can debit daily from each of his / her accessible accounts. User Daily Limits for Primary User(s) are defined by his / her company while those of Secondary User(s) are designated by Primary User(s).

Portfolio Daily Limit allows the company to specify the daily aggregate amount all users can perform for the following types of transactions:

Fund Transfer between own Hang Seng accounts (this limit also includes the setup of time deposits)
Fund Transfer to other accounts plus Autopay
Bill Payments
   
Q: What are the differences between a Primary User and Secondary User?
A: Primary User(s) can
access services / accounts designated by the company's resolution;
perform Management Control maintenance and authorisation functions.

Secondary User(s) can
access services / accounts designated by Primary User(s);
if so designated, perform Management Control maintenance functions and such a person can be called a Management Control Administrator.
   
Q: Who can change the service / account profile of a Primary User?
A: New services / accounts can only be added to the profile of a Primary User by means of an amendment request with a company's resolution. Please click here to obtain the "Business e-Banking Services Amendment/Termination Form".

However, Primary User can online de-select some (with at least one remaining) existing accounts / services (other than default services) for other Primary User(under Dual Management Control only) or for his / her own profile. Such maintenance by Primary User will have to go through either sole or dual Management Control authorisation, as the case may be.
   
Q: How can User Daily Limits be reduced / increased?
A: Primary User(s) can lower his / her own User Daily Limits online. Increase of User Daily Limits for Primary User(s) must be done through an amendment request with a company's resolution. Please click here to obtain the "Business e-Banking Services Amendment/Termination Form".

For Secondary User(s), both increase and reduction of User Daily Limits can be done online by Primary User(s). Increase of daily limit of Secondary User(s), however, must not exceed or can only be equal to that of one Primary User or the other (should there be 2 Primary Users) whoever the daily debit limit per account is the lowest.
   
Q: Why the User Daily Limit of a Secondary user is suddenly reduced?
A: If Primary User(s) lowers his / her own daily limit online, all Secondary Users' daily limits will be automatically reduced since the daily limit of Secondary User(s) must not exceed or can only be equal to that of one Primary User or the other (should there be 2 Primary Users) whoever the daily debit limit per account is the lowest.
   
Q: How much will be the User Daily Limit for new accounts automatically linked to Business e-Banking, if such option has been chosen?
A: Zero limit which means that only enquiry to the new accounts is allowed.
   
Q: Why does a Secondary User fail to access some accounts that he / she previously could?
A: This can be due to one of the following reasons:

The accounts have been removed by Primary User(s).
The accounts have been removed from the profile of Primary User(s) by his / her company and the access right of Secondary User(s) are adjusted automatically.
   
Q: How can services / accounts be made available to users?
A: The Primary User(s) can give a user access to Services / Accounts online when needed. For adding services / accounts for Primary User(s), an amendment request with a company's resolution is required. Please click here to obtain the "Business e-Banking Services Amendment/Termination Form".
