Q: How can time deposits be placed online?
A: Firstly, Primary User(s) must be authorised by a company to access Time Deposits service. Secondly, a time deposits account is needed and the account has to be added to a Business e-Banking portfolio. Please click here to obtain the "Business e-Banking Services Amendment/Termination Form" to add the account and service to Primary User. For Secondary Users, such service can be assigned online by Primary User(s).
   
Q: Up to how much can Portfolio Daily Limit for Time Deposits be increased?
A: Up to HKD10,000,000 (HKD Ten Million) and this limit also covers transfers between a company's own Hang Seng accounts designated in the Business e-Banking portfolio.
   
Q: What are the deposit terms available for online Time Deposits services?
A: Only HKD deposit is available for call deposit with deposit term of 1-day call or 7-day call. The following deposit terms are available for fixed deposits offered on a variety of currencies:

Q: Is it necessary to select the maturity instruction at the time a deposit is made?
A: If it is a fixed deposit, the maturity instruction must be specified at the time the deposit is made. For call deposit, the maturity instruction can be advised later.
   
Q: Will physical advices be sent for Time Deposits made in Business e-Banking?
A: Yes, for new as well as renewal deposits.
   
Q: How can the maturity instruction of a deposit be amended after a deposit has been made?
A: Amendment of maturity instructions for time deposits is restricted to Primary User(s) only and can be done one working day, at least, (during office hours) before the deposit matures.
   
Q: Can maturity instructions be amended via Business e-Banking for time deposits placed at branches?
A: Yes, by Primary User only and provided that the time deposits account has been added to the Business e-Banking portfolio. To add the time deposits account, please click here to obtain the "Business e-Banking Services Amendment/Termination Form".
